I'm happy I have lots of art supplies in here. Yesterday -- was it yesterday, or the day before -- I practiced making trees with watercolors. I made them green with purple and pink highlights using my good set of Daniel Smith watercolors. I'm pleased enough with the result that I put the page on the wall in front of my reading chair. Hey, maybe not the greatest watercolor trees in the world, but I am happy every time I look at that paper with the four trees painted on it. This brings me joy. Art brings me joy. I know I'm not great at realistic drawings - like this fish painting for example - but if it brings me joy that's the important thing. I like being creative. I like whimsical and fun painting styles. I'm happy when I'm painting. The fish here was painted in a journal using fountain pen inks.
