The watercolor painting was done while I was sitting in my van one cold winter morning - and it barely resembles the actual location but the hills are there and the two buildings. My perspective work was off the cuff and I keep thinking I need to learn more about perspective, but overall I like this composition - the soft blended colors, and the sky and hills all work for me. It was a complicated building to draw but doing so helped me focus and find more than I'd seen before. I had looked at that building hundreds of times and never noticed the slanting roof over the door, to keep out rain and snow. I was actually looking at the rear of these two buildings, while sitting in a parking lot behind them.
Heavenly Father, thank You for guiding me and helping me to create so many sketchbook drawings and watercolors. I really enjoy doing it and like looking at the results years later. Such great fun, and I thank You Father God for putting it in my heart to want to create art. Yes, it is a struggle for me, but I know you're with me every day, every hour, every minute. Thank You for putting it into my heart to do this. Art takes a dreary life and makes it colorful. Please continue to guide me and help improve my artistic skills in the way You want them to expand. I trust You. I need You for everything. You are my strength and my hope. Thank You Father God, for all You mean to me and all You do and have done for me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
